Studio staff will meet with you to discuss the style of music you want to record. We will make sure we have a common sound vision of the finished product before we begin recording.
Make sure the studio project doesn't lack focus or direction by mapping out the entire recording process (basic tracks, overdubs, mixing, mastering) to make the most out of each studio session.
Provide you with audio recording options. We'll discuss the different recording techniques available so you will be able to use the recording studio to it's fullest potential.
Bring out the recording artist's strengths and sound by offering suggestions and techniques to help them succeed in the recording studio.
Lend a very trained and critical ear to let the recording artist know what can be improved or when it is solid.

Recording Tips

Pre-production is extremely important to the end result and WILL make the difference between your recordings sounding like a demo or a professional radio quality recording.
You have heard the old saying, practice makes perfect... have your songs prepared.
All band members should know and agree upon the song structure before you enter the studio.
Record your rehearsals with a simple cassette recorder and evaluate the feel of your songs.
Try rehearsing without the vocals to make sure the musicians know the songs well and are not just following the singer.
Work out any solos ahead of time.
Memorize your lyrics.
Whenever possible practice with a click or metronome.

If someone does make a mistake don't get frustrated. Remember: It's all practice... until it's right.
Listen to playback. Before moving forward to record another track or instrument make sure that the track that was just recorded is perfect.

Recording Equipment

Recording studios generally consist of three rooms: the live room, isolation booth and control room. The engineer will typically use the following equipment during a recording session.

Choosing The Right Recording Studio

Is an important first step.

You need to be confident that the studio you work with has the ability to capture your performance in the best way possible and to make everything sound as good as it possibly can! While cost is always a concern, you must realize that a bad recording is worse than no recording at all. If you're serious about pursuing a career in music you must present yourself in a professional light at all times.
